open golf camp FAQ
How is the Scottish Open incorporated in the Open Golf Camp?
We visit the Genesis Scottish Open on the Thursday, first day of the tournament. Juniors will be driven by members of our team from St Andrews to the Renaissance Club in North Berwick, where the tournament takes place. We will spend the full day at the tournament to make the most of this incredible event! The other days of this golf camp will be spent playing golf and training at St Andrews.
Is my child likely to meet any of the professionals at the Scottish Open?
Yes, very likely! The Genesis Scottish Open is a prestigious event. Last year, 9 out of the 10 top players in the world attended the Scottish Open and we expect another impressive field this year!
What do the golf lessons at St Andrews entail?
Our golf camp coaching programme is specifically tailored for juniors and include a full assessment of the golf swing. Juniors will work on their short game, long game and putting, with the help of technologies such as Trackman and video analysis. For more information about our golf coaching programme and method, please visit this page.
Can you be any level to attend the golf camp?
The Open Golf Camp welcomes juniors of all level, with the condition that they are experienced in playing 18 holes and know the basic rules of golf. Unfortunately, the programme of this golf camp isn’t suitable for total beginners.
Do you provide equipment at your summer golf camps?
Mypro Golf Camp do not provide any equipment but if needed, golf sets and trolleys can be rented on site. We strongly recommend juniors to come with their own equipment when possible, as rentals are subject to availability.
What are the travel arrangements?
To get to Mypro Golf Camp, you can either come with your child and drop them off directly to us in St Andrews, or they can travel alone by plane to Edinburgh Airport, where members of our team will meet them and drive them to St Andrews. We will also drive juniors back to the airport on their departure day.
