Meet The Pros

3 – 10 July | 11 – 18 July 2022

Play golf & meet the pros

In July 2022, The Genesis Scottish Open will be back with a bang. The week after, The 150th Open Championship returns to none other than St Andrews. This summer promises to be a very special one, so we organised 2 very special Open Camps!

To make the most of these two incredible events, we are organising not one, but 2 Open Camps: one featuring the Genesis Scottish Open and another one featuring The One, and only, Open Championship. So, while Min Woo Lee and Collin Morikawa will be defending their titles, juniors attending The Open Camp will be able to experience St Andrews in all its splendour. They’ll play the best courses in the area, learn from the finest instructors and most of all, see their idols IN ACTION.

Each Open Camp runs for 1 week but it is possible to attend both.

About the Scottish Open

The Genesis Scottish Open forms part of the European Tours’ Rolex Series. It’s one of four premium events offering a minimum prize fund of $8 million. It will now also be co-sanctioned by the PGA Tour meaning that members of both tours will be eligible to play and received respective ranking points. This move will further enhance what is already one of the best events of the year.

Established in 1935, the Scottish Open has a long list of illustrious winners, most recently including the likes of Rickie Fowler, Phil Mickelson, Alexander Noren, Justin Rose and Min Woo Lee.

Experience The Open at St Andrews
The countdown has started for the 150th Open Championship and it’s sure to be one for the history books. St Andrews will play host to the event for the 30th time, and we will be right there with our juniors,  to soak up the electric atmosphere.
In addition to this incredible experience, juniors attending The Open Camp II will also get to play on the beautiful golf courses of St Andrews and its area, learn from the best PGA instructors and have an amazing time with friends from all over the world.

About The Open Championship

Established in 1860, The Open Championship is golf’s oldest major and just one of four Major Championships each year. It attracts the strongest field in golf as only the world’s best players qualify to compete for the coveted title of Champion Golfer Of The Year.

After winning The Open at St Andrews in 2000, Tiger Woods said: “Winning The Open at the Home of Golf is the ultimate achievement in the sport.” Indeed, this is the title that every golfer wants to add to their resume and the lust for the Claret Jug is even greater when The Open is played at St Andrews Old Course.

St Andrews will host the 150th Open Championship and this will be the 30th time the event has been staged there.

Watch & Learn

The Strathtyrum Course
Junior Golfers during the Open Camp | Mypro Golf Camp

Learn links golf with expert PGA pros

Pot-bunkers, high fescue rough, endless undulating greens, rolling fairways and seas winds… There are many elements, typical to Links courses, that juniors will learn to master during the golf lessons.

Aside from developing their general golf technique, juniors will learn about shot-shaping and trajectory control to help in the wind, long putting to master Links greens and bunker play to get out of any sand trap. They’ll also learn that when it comes to approaching the green on a Links, the bump and run with a long iron is sometimes a better option than using a wedge…

The ideal 2-week camp: more golf, more fun

Attending at least 2 weeks of Mypro Golf Camp is definitely our best recommendation and we find that most returning students come back for 2 or 3 weeks each year. If your child is keen to improve in golf and English, then the longer they stay, the better. Not only this but, with each week full of the sport we love, time flies VERY quickly and one week can feel too short.
